On this episode of the Nine Finger Chronicles hunting podcast, Dan is joined by returning guest Dan Course as he shares how he was introduced in to hunting as a boy and the story of his 2018 archery buck, his biggest buck to date. Dan talks about growing up in Mississippi in a family and community that used dogs to hunt deer. He tells us about how his dad got him a shotgun when he was only 8 years only and how in high school he would rather go to bed early so he could go hunting the next morning rather that stay out late with his friends.

Then Dan talks about how he moved from Mississippi to Pennsylvania and started hunting public land. After a stint in PA and with the growth of his family he ended up putting hunting on the back burner and moving to Texas. It wasn't until a could years ago he dusted off the bow and got back in to bowhunting. The second half of the the podcast is Dan sharing the story of the harvest of his biggest archery buck to date.
